The market for remote writers is segmented in ways that matter for the kind of work you'll find. Technical writing — documentation, API references, developer guides — pays well ($60 to $150 per hour for experienced writers), is increasingly recognized as a senior IC role at most software companies, and has stable, repeat-client work.
